02 — TALK SESSION 13:55–14:40

Transformative Journey Japan Can Offer
Miho Beck (SatoriCamp), Yojiro Koga (Arte)
Moderator: Shuma Goko (WithBlue DMC)

On one side, longevity as the East has understood it for centuries: ikigai. On the other, the Western build: biohacking, measurement, optimization, capital.

Neither is complete. What sits between them has not been named yet, and Japan is holding most of the raw material for it without a price tag attached.

Two practitioners, one question. What is Japan’s role in a wellbeing market the rest of the world is already monetizing?

Miho Beck — Co-founder, SatoriCamp
Miho partners with destination management companies across Japan to bring culturally rooted wellness journeys to the global modern luxury market. Her work connects Japanese spirituality and regional cultural experiences with international travellers. She previously co-founded the travel marketplace TripJunction and was named to Forbes JAPAN’s Self-made Women 100 in 2019.

Yojiro Koga — CEO / Founder, Arte Inc.
Yojiro designs and curates experiences that connect visitors with the essence of Japanese culture, from traditional craftsmanship to food. Arte aims to return value to the artisans, communities and traditions behind each experience, supporting a cultural ecosystem where preservation, evolution and inheritance can grow together.

Moderator: Shuma Goko — CEO, WithBlue DMC Inc.
Shuma founded WithBlue DMC in Okinawa in 2023. His work includes cross-border events, tourism and destination experiences. Drawing on an international network, the company develops multilingual content, customised programmes and project management for events, activities and logistics in Okinawa.

04 — FROM THE LOCAL 15:55–16:55 JST (in Japanese)

Taichi Senoo, Chie Hoashi, Max Wall
Moderator: Ryo Osera

This year, some of the most ambitious attempts to build nomad settlements ran headfirst into the regions hosting them. Infrastructure disputes, permissions withdrawn, communities of two hundred people dispersed almost overnight. A good number of those people are in Japan right now, moving in and out on tourist visas.

Which makes the question urgent rather than academic: what does tourism that actually serves the place it happens in look like?

Kyushu answers in its own voice. Sixty minutes with people who have been building here for years, not a case study for outsiders but a working session for anyone who wants to build the next one.

Taichi Senoo — I.W.A TOURS Co., Ltd.
Taichi develops cultural exchange and educational programmes in Japan and abroad, drawing on music, art, language and regional culture. Before joining I.W.A TOURS, he worked in import sales at an international shipping company and as a director at an international trade-fair organiser. His goal is to create life-changing opportunities for everyone involved.

Chie Hoashi — Manager, Yamatogokoro Kyushu Branch; Representative, Inout Tourism Laboratory; Managing Director, Kyushu Association of Interpreters, Translators and Guide-Interpreters
Chie is a travel editor and producer connecting local communities with the world. Working in inbound tourism since 2001, she uncovers the value of Kyushu’s people, culture, history, food and industries, shaping it into stories and experiences for travellers. She also runs Fly from Fukuoka, promoting travel both to and from Japan.

Max Wall — Satoyama Journey, Minamioguni, Kumamoto
Originally from Sweden, Max moved to Minamioguni in 2018. He plans and guides Satoyama Journey experiences with SMO Minamioguni, introducing visitors to rural landscapes and everyday life through cycling, farming and forestry. His approach connects international guests with local people and the communities behind each experience.

Moderator: Ryo Osera — Colive Fukuoka
